What is Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation is a plastic surgery procedure done to increase breast size. It’s usually done by women to enhance their appearance, adjust for reduction after pregnancy, correct uneven breasts or to improve their self-confidence.

Treatment

There can be risks such as infection, pain, rupture, etc. After the procedure, swelling and soreness is likely for a few weeks and bruising is also a possibility. Pain medication may be prescribed and it’ll be advised to wear a sports bra or compression badge for extra support. Getting back to doing work can take a few weeks if it is not physically demanding and it’ll be advised not to do any strenuous activity as the breast will be quite sensitive and raising blood pressure can be dangerous. The surgery may not give the appearance desired so an additional surgery may be needed. Weight loss or weight gain might change the appearance of the breast and they will sag as age increases and implants don’t tend to last forever, usually 10 years at max so once again another implant may be needed.
